The Expressive Creatrix (and Hobbyist)

This was a simple, powerful book.  The story of a 9-year-old boy who’s father is the Commandant at Auschwitz.  He strikes up an unlikely friendship with a boy “on the other side of the fence.”  The story of a concentration camp told through the innocence of a young boy is startling, and the ending makes quite an impact.  Highly recommended.  Quick read, I finished it in one day.  My 11-year-old son is going to read it next.
